FAQs on our EB-5 Advisory Services

We constantly receive inquiries from EB-5 project developers and regional centers concerning our EB-5 advisory services and China market entry services. We have compiled answers to some frequently asked questions.  Hope they are helpful to your efforts.
How can you assist me in creating my regional center?
Artisan Business Group has helped many developers, officials, and executives in the process of creation of their regional centers. It is very important on who you select to be part of your team.  Artisan Business Group can introduce EB-5 experienced professionals (attorneys, business plan writers, economists, etc.) based upon your budget, time constraints, and personal needs. It is important to work with an experienced team to minimize the number of RFEs (Request For Evidence) from the USCIS. Artisan Business Group can set you up with the right team to reduce your time and efforts in applying for a regional center designation.
Do you only consult regional center projects?
No, Artisan Business Group also advises many direct EB-5 projects. Direct EB-5 projects that we consult with are usually looking for $2-3 million per project. Some investors prefer investing in direct EB-5 projects because they do not have to worry about the creation of indirect and induced jobs. We often assist non-EB-5 related investment projects in searching for Chinese investors and partners.
How do we begin talking with you about our EB-5 project?
After you have introduced yourself to our company, you can begin by sending us a project summary. A project summary allows us to become familiar with your project. Other documents needed are executive summaries and business plans. Once we have become familiar with your project and needs, we can create a customized proposal for our advisory services.
Will you introduce my project to emigration brokers?
Artisan Business Group gets calls every day from people who want us to introduce their project to overseas licensed brokers. We must advise all of our clients for at least one or two month before we introduce it to a licensed emigration broker. This allows us to analyze project viability and marketability and help narrow the client’s offering to the current market conditions. We have a strong reputation in both U.S. and China because we only introduce quality projects to Chinese immigration brokers. After we have advised your project, we will introduce it to brokers if it is a quality project. We have a strong reputation with brokers so whenever we contact them about one of our projects, they are very interested in learning about the possibilities of promoting it.
How do you determine which brokers you will introduce to my project?
Artisan Business Group is very familiar with current projects in the market place and which brokers are promoting these projects. This allows us to have the knowledge about which brokers have a heavy work load and which brokers are actively looking for new projects.  Another factor we look at is the amount of capital your project is looking for. If it is a large project, we will introduce it to the large brokers. We know the capabilities of each licensed brokers so the amount of EB-5 capital is an important factor in which brokers we introduce to your project.
Once you introduce me to different brokers, what other services do you provide? After we have advised your project and introduced it to brokers, we then begin facilitating the relationship between you and the broker. Our director in China works very closely with the brokers of our clients to ensure that they are actively promoting your project. This reduces your effort in managing the relationship with the brokers and also cuts down in the amount of time it takes to sign on investors.  Broker facilitation is very important in the process of capturing EB-5 capital.

MOC to tally US$150 bln in outbound investment

(Source: Xinhua News) The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) of PR China announced Tuesday that outbound investment from the world's second-largest economy is expected to total 150 billion U.S. dollars in 2015. The country's overseas investment is predicted to grow by an annual rate of 17 percent during the 2011-2015 period, according to the MOC. Meanwhile, the MOC forecast that the contract value of overseas projects will hit 180 billion U.S. dollars in 2015, while the business volume in overseas-contracted projects may hit 120 billion U.S. dollars.

Amid accelerating Chinese investment, the ministry also predicted that the country would send 550,000 more Chinese staff to work on these projects in 2015, with the total number of Chinese staff working under these projects to hit one million by the end of 2015, the MOC forecast. As of the end of 2010, Chinese-invested overseas projects were conducted in nearly 200 countries and regions, with outbound investment during the 2006-2010 period growing by 30 percent annually, according to the MOC. The latest data from the MOC showed that the country's non-financial overseas direct investment totaled 23.16 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months, up 72.8 percent from a year earlier.
