INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Governor Mitch Daniels and a group of community leaders are drumming up business in China and Japan. Monday, the governor will speak at a conference for business leaders in Shanghai. This is the 6th trade mission Daniels has led as governor. He told 24-Hour News 8 this weekend the trip is beneficial to the state of Indiana. “We feel that they've been extremely valuable. I think that particularly now, when other states are struggling so badly and Indiana is widening its lead as a good place to do business, I think maybe the prospects are even better than in some of our earlier years, so I am very hopeful,” said Gov. Daniels. The trip was financed through private funds. The group returns to Indianapolis November 17.
