The 17th China International Fair for Investment and Trade opens in Xiamen

(Source: CIFIT) On the morning of 8th September, the 17th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) opens in Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Centre. Ma Kai, the Vice Premier, Wang Qinmin, the Vice Chairman of CPPCC and the Chairman of National Federation present in the opening ceremony.
Marco Hausik, Deputy Prime Minister of Namibia; Mukhisa Kituyi, UNCTAD Secretary-General; Rintaro Tamaki, OECD Deputy Secretary-General; Richard Sezibera, East African Community Secretary-General and You Quan, Secretary General of Fujian Provincial Party Committee, Director of Fujian People’s Congress as well as business people, government officials and representatives from international organisations present in the opening ceremony as well.
Wang Chao, the Deputy Minister of MOFCOM, said in the opening ceremony that the world economy has become more independent than ever, every economy has become a stakeholder of other economies. The Chinese government is persistent in implementing the mutually beneficial and proactive opening-up strategies, endeavor to promote the healthy, sustainable and innovative development of world economy together with all government and international organizations.
The CIFIT is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and co-sponsored by the United Nations United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNTCAD), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank, and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). The CIFIT has become one of the most important platforms for international investment promotion and international economic and business communication.
